Second Set of Prototypes

I realised that the term "hybrid" could mean more than just combining images of living things together so to acquire better characteristics, it also means getting something that is a mixture of two different things. So I decided to base my prototypes this week around that idea - creating an image of a living thing that's made with photos that I have taken. I can use both Illustrator and Photoshop.

One image I decided to do was a fox made entirely of photos of flowers that I took. I made sure to use the right colours - changing the hue where I needed to. I first quickly sketched a photo of a fox then used that as a base in Photoshop.

This is the final prototype:

My second image is a tree decorated completely with pictures of lights that I took at home. I made this hybrid by combining a tree that I created using Illustrator, a picture of Christmas fairylights that I altered the colour of and finally a regular bulb for the stars in the background.

Here is the tree in Illustrator before I brought it over to Photoshop:

My next image is of a moon made of sea shells. I first created the shape in Illustrator then brought it over so I had a template to put the shells onto. The stars are the same as the ones in the picture above, as the moon would fit alongside the image above.

The next picture is one I created primarily in Illustrator but then I added a part of my gate which I took in the "Around The Garden" subject in Phase 1. This just added more detail and made the light that bit more interesting.

I first sketched it out then put it into Illustrator then finally into Photoshop to add the hybrid photo aspect.

Here is my sketch and what I did in Illustrator:

My fifth image was that of a robin made from berries, which they eat, and twigs and leaves, which they build their nests from. I sketched it first then finished it in Photoshop.

Last image I did was that of a flower snail hybrid:
